Training and capacity building

Tailored Training

Organisations are only as strong as the weakest link, and training of employees is an ongoing process vital to remaining competitive and ensuring consistent workforce productivity. We assist clients by identifying corporate and jobs-based needs for competency and programmed training programs.

Active Assurance Services can also deliver the training necessary to underpin the culture of organisations, and to build the capability of our clients’ people. Our training style provides the roadmap to ensure successful uptake of the knowledge and skills by participants. We work with clients to understand their needs and budget and to develop a tailored approach to skills development.

Target audience

Our training is applicable to either public or private sector. It can be tailored to:

  • Elected officials and Board members
  • Senior executives and line managers
  • HR personnel who support supervisors
  • Senior employees responsible for managing complaints or investigations
  • Internal Investigators, Auditors and Human Resources consultants

Methodology/Format

Typically the training format includes a mix of current theory and practical techniques in the relevant learning workshops. Workshops are presented in an interactive professional environment. They are primarily interactive with multi-media components and a variety of activities to cater for different learning styles. Furthermore,  they  usually include opportunities for post workshop assignments and feedback on competency.

Concepts and problems are explored through group exercises, peer discussion of case studies, role-plays, and discussion. Participants are provided with reference material including workshop handouts. A closed session may also be provided to improve the opportunity for participants to frankly discuss the issues that are relevant to the local environment.
